E/AB is pleased to announce that the Opening Night Gala will benefit both P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center and its Internet radio station Art Radio WPS1.org. The gala will take place Thursday, November 1st from 5-8 PM at the old Chelsea hotspot, The Tunnel. Always a great night for a great cause, this year the evening’s festivities will be highlighted by performances by Eric Singer's LEMUR (League of Electronic Musical Urban Robots) and DJ Jeannie Hopper, host of long running programs on WBAI and Art Radio WPS1.org.
P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, an affiliate of The Museum of Modern Art, is the oldest and one of the largest non-profit art centers in the United States solely devoted to contemporary art. Launched in 2004, P.S. 1's Internet radio station Art Radio WPS1.org provides 24-hourstream and an on-demand archive of cultural programming. Operating out of the historic Clocktower Building in lower Manhattan, the station also broadcasts historic recordings from university and private collections and from MoMA's audio archives; presents live remote programs from festivals including Art Basel Miami Beach, The Armory Show, Performa, and the Venice Biennale; and frequently carries public events hosted by partnering cultural institutions from New York and elsewhere.
